The
Mayfair Business Association's 4th Annual
Mayfair May Fair will feature the 3rd Annual Fallen Heroes Run and Walk.
This year's Mayfair Fallen Heroes Run and walk will take place on Saturday, May 14, 2011 from 7:30am to 10:30am.
This 5K (3 mile) run and walk will begin at Sackett Street and Ryan Avenue. Runners and walkers will travel around Pennypack Park and the
Abraham Lincoln High School and Austin Meehan Middle School campuses and finish at the Mayfair Memorial Playground.
All proceeds will benefit the Hero Thrill Show Fund, which provides college scholarships for the children of Philadelphia police officers and firefighters
killed or disabled in the line of duty.
Every year, the money will be given to the fund in the name of a fallen police officer or firefighter. This year we are honoring Sgt. Pat McDonald.
Runners
and Walkers
The cost of the run/walk is $20 before May 12, and $25 after that. Most
labor and supplies have been donated. All proceeds will benefit the Hero Thrill Show Fund.
Register on line
Thank you! And thanks to the police officers and firefighters who keep
us safe.
